17 July 2023: In this month’s  ‘Smart: Tried and Tested’ we’re taking a look at the new Bombardier Global 7500, the world’s largest and longest range business jet. 

A new calibre of business jet, the aircraft boasts a luxurious interior and four living spaces, a full sized kitchen and a dedicated suite for the crew. With large windows, the aircraft offers more natural light than any other cabin, providing every passenger with a window seat. 

Let’s take a look at the specifications:

The 7500’s Smooth Flex Wing is a technological marvel, designed to provide maximum control and agility, offering the smoothest of rides. 

Powered by GE Passport Engines designed specifically for the jet, the engines have been developed for ultra-long range missions and minimal cabin noise. The overall length of the plane is 34 m (111 ft 1 in) and it is 8 m (27 ft in) high. The wingspan is 32 m (104 ft in).

The Global 7500 has a high cruising altitude speed of 710 mph and a maximum operating altitude of 51,000 ft. Boasting a flying range of 7,700 nautical miles, the jet can fly for approximately 16 hours.

With a luggage capacity limit of 195 ft3, the business jet can take up to 19 passengers comfortably with baggage and smaller cargo requirements. 

Inside of the cabin there are four living spaces with available Principal Suite and full sized bed. The revolutionary Nuage seat has unrivalled features including tilt link system for deep recline, a supportive tilting headrest and a floating base for every passenger to enjoy. The newly designed business seat combined with the all-new Nice Touch cabin management system, means guests will remain in true comfort throughout the flight and can interact with the cabin using the innovative technology in the first-ever suite controllers.

One of the highlights of the 7500 is the sophisticated air purification system, which features an advanced HEPA filter, which guarantees 100% fresh air and quick heating and cooling functions.
