Smart Thoughts 26 February 2021As we look back over the past year, we’ve seen the aviation industry face a really tough 12 months in air travel, as the whole world has been paused whilst battling the Coronavirus pandemic.It has been a long, tough and uncertain year for us from air travel advice constantly changing, and with most recreational travel temporarily prohibited. However, seeing the recent government guidelines and the clear step plan for the next few months, we have hope that our travel will resume again quickly towards the end of Summer 2021.Boris Johnson speaking in parliament stated that for the UK“There is every chance of an aviation recovery this year and governments new taskforce will give people time to make plans for the summer”Prime Minister, Boris Johnson.What are we looking forward to?MAY – Holiday season beginsAs we enter May, we hope to see the return of the much longed for holiday season. Our private jet clients are eager to get back to their much-loved holiday homes as soon as it is safe to travel again and restrictions are lifted.JUNE – Rescheduled Euros 2020 and LourdesAlthough we have been flying the teams to their qualifying games, we are hopeful to see the possible return of fans travelling to matches to support their teams this year.In June we are also hoping to resume our Lourdes pilgrimage programme. A huge cornerstone of our business consists of flying our Catholic clientele to Lourdes, which sadly this last year has been impossible due to the Covid-19 outbreak. We hope to resume these flights as soon as possible.AUGUST – IbizaWith no party season possible last year, hopes are high to get the party island buzzing again this August! We are poised and ready to fly our DJ’s back to ‘The White Isle’ to get the party started and do what they do best.We want to thank our clients for sticking by us through this tough and testing time. We are now more determined and excited than ever to get straight back to what we love and what we do best.
