Smart continue to help young talent

Smart Aviation have earned a reputation for helping the next generation gain that valuable first step on the ladder in aviation, working for a world class charter business.

This Summer we had the opportunity to welcome Joe Savage to the team,  Joe is the son of our Sales Director Matthew, and has literally grown up hearing about the airline business.

Matthew said “Joe has always been keen to know more about my work as he has been hearing my stories of arranging aircraft charters around the world since he was a small boy!  He’s currently studying for a Business Logistics & Transport Management degree at the University of Greenwich and his Summer break coincided nicely with our need to bring someone in to supplement our marketing and telesales activity.”

Joe jumped at the chance to gain some first hand work experience in a dynamic environment, and has been able to secure some valuable new contacts for us, and generated several new enquiries for the business.  Its been a great learning experience for him, and we wish him well on the next two years of hard study!

Heading up the Smart Plus department is Charlotte Sobel, who explained  “We organised branded headrest covers for the aircraft, specially branded on-board menus and a personalised VIP check-in desk, clearly displaying the client’s branding. This created a real buzz around the event before the aircraft had even left the ground.”

In the current economic climate, where budgets are under pressure, the advantages of enhancing the flight experience and providing maximum exposure for the client’s brand can be key to the success of the event. Whether chartering for two VIPs or several thousand, the benefits are unequivocal. Explaining the range of options available, Charlotte commented, “There are numerous choices for clients wishing to enhance their flights and we work tirelessly to ensure that we help create very special events. More and more of our Event and Conferencing clients are realising the potential to add value to their flight charters.”

With the final whistle at the Champions League final in Lisbon on 24 May, we decided to reflect on the past year of Sports Charters, an incredible 12 months of arranging flights for Teams, National Associations and Passionate fans from across the Globe.
