Here’s why they matter.
A memorable meeting with our aircraft charter specialists meant we were able to get a national football team to their fixture in record time.
A few years ago two of our team members, Matthew and Clive, dropped in on a European travel agency whilst on a sales tour and spent 30 minutes introducing our aircraft charter services over coffee before heading off to the next meeting.
The old saying ‘first impressions count’ is certainly true here. Last weekend, that travel agency called out of the blue with an urgent requirement for an aircraft charter. They’d remembered that meeting and found our business cards.
They had been asked to step in and help their national football team, who been let down by another supplier. With less than 24 hours notice, over a busy summer weekend, they needed a commercial jet charter to take their national team and FA President to a World Cup 2018 qualifying fixture.
The clock was ticking.
Within 1 hour of the first call, Matthew had found the seemingly impossible; the perfect aircraft for their flight, able to operate on time and remain with the team over the weekend to fly them back. Contracts were signed, arrangements made, and the aircraft was positioned into our client’s home airport the night before departure to ensure no risk of delays.
The flight went perfectly and the team arrived in plenty of time for their fixture. We were pleased to receive positive feedback from the client after the return flight:
“Thank you for such a professional approach. All went really well… it was a great effort from your side to finalise this in such a short time.”
So another satisfied client, a reminder about making a good first impression and proof that when you’re against the clock, it pays to be Smart.
